To those having to use the x64 patch....
You will have to go to the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS4 folder in order to find the .dll that you are looking for.
(For some reason the x64 patch actually patches the already present .dll instead of creating a new one.)

i un-rared the file, but whenever i run the setup it suddenly tells me that setup has encountered an error and has to cose. contact adobe customer support for assistance...

OMG NEVERMIND i figured it out, i just wasn't following instructions properly which i should really learn to do,
i bloody love TheSwee thankyou soooo much for the instructions which i read thoroughly about 50 billion times and which led to the realisation of my obvious mistake,
which was missing the first step and not putting the folders on the desktop.
i cannot believe i was so stupid.

1- Ok to all people who do not want the software in english go to the site of adobe. get an acount and download it there.
2- install the program.
3- find the patch and download it to the folder u installed photoshop

Any one having problems make sure ur looking the v64 programme files and not the standard programme files.

Annoyingly, I got more than 5,000 errors while unpackning with winrar. And that usually never happens to me.
Unpacked and finished, I thought, I went on with the installation. After two minutes, Adobe gave me a serious warning to restart my computer. I canceled everything, and thinking about CS3, for now.
I have got Vista Ultimate X64 (and it should work)

There is no adobe.photoshop.cs4.x32-nope.exe in my NoPE folder. The only files present are the adobe.photoshop.cs4.x64-ENGiNE.exe and nope.nfo. Is there some way i can get it?

I got this working just fine in Windows 7 x86, but now I'm using the x64 beta and I'm just about ready to give up. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to install without giving me the "Insert the non-existant disc into drive C:\. I know it's a hard drive but I like fucking with you, you dirty pirate!" error!
I've tried copying everything to the C:\ drive and the desktop, tried disabling my anti-virus, tried running as an admin, tried compatibility mode for Vista and XP. NOTHING WILL WORK! I'm practically pulling my hair out in frustration!
