This file contains an installer to patch Call of Duty 4 version 1.x to version 1.7. The installer was created because of large scale installation problems in the original installer created by Aspyr Media. The installer was build using VISE X The installer also contains the no-cd crack for the Mac single player version. This installer is virus-free and comes as-is without any support. Expands as a nondescript document, cannot run or install. No extension and adding ".app" to the end does not work.
Scratch that, don't use BetterZip to open the archive instead just use the default archive utility with OS X.
Installs fine, would be nice to be able to choose the installation folder since I don't keep games in Applications.

you can move for Update your COD4 folder to default App folder and after update move it back to your place.
Q: I see that the COD 4 Single User app NOCD is Version 1.55XX not 1.7 as the updated orig. one.
Is the update only for the game data and we must wait for an cracked NOCD App ?

The 1.5 single player crack works fine with 1.7.1.
As for now there is no 1.7.1 nocd crack available.
For people who want to install to a custom location.
Just run the installer to the root of your drive. After that copy all files into your COD4 directory.
I will look into a browse dialogue for a future release of the installer.

So do any of the copies found here allow for a LAN multiplayer? I just want to be able to install it at the office and play LAN games with my co wokers, THANKS in advance for an answer

This is just a patch to upgrade an existing COD4 installation to the latest version 1.7.
If you have the COD4 installation media with a correct license you can install this and than use this patch to upgrade to the latest version.

When I open the file after unzipping, this panel comes up that says VISE X. After I click, it says that the installer is expired. How do I open this thing correctly?
For those of you who get the installer expired error, set your system date to 17 november 2008. After installation set the clock back to your current date.
